Verl Hayner

Verl Ashliman Hayner, 86, of Ammon, passed away on March 6, 2013, at Good Samaritan Society Idaho Falls Village. She was under the care of Hands of Hope Hospice. She was born September 14, 1926, in Tooele, Utah to Eldon Ensine Ashliman and Alta Clark Ashliman. When she was one year old, the family moved to Idaho Falls where she grew up and attended schools. On July 9, 1971, she married her soulmate, Kenneth I. Hayner, in Shelley, Idaho. She was a mother and homemaker and also worked at Yellowstone Leather. Kenneth preceded her in death on August 9, 1998. Verl was a member of the Shelley Methodist Church. She enjoyed crafts, traveling, dancing, puzzles and was an avid collector of antiques. Survivors are: Daughter: Tana Lee Thorngren, Ammon, ID Daughter: Cedenda (Larry) Thomas, Queens Valley, AZ Daughter: Donna (Jack) Barzee, Shelley, ID Daughter: Frances (Kenneth) Ketchie, ID Son: Morris Eldon Chambers 19 Grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a son, Dewayne; 3 brothers, and 2 sisters. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 11, 2013, at the New Sweden Cemetery.
