Vera Williams

Veranetta Williams, 92, of Idaho Falls, passed away March 1, 2018, at her home. She was under the care of OneSource Home Health and Hospice and her loving family. Vera was born January 15, 1926, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Tyler Winters and Margaret Winters. She grew up and attended schools in Louisiana. She also attended Bates Vocational School where she graduated and became a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Vera she married Marvin Green Sr. in Louisiana. To this union a son, Marvin Franklin Greene was born. Vera and Marvin were divorced. Vera later married George Jackson. To this union were born six children, Nathanael, Joyce, Douglas, Michael, Helen and Joseph. She was a pastor’s wife for almost 40 years at The House of Prayer, Church of God in Christ. Vera and George were later divorced. Vera worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She also worked as a private duty nurse for many years and owned and operated her own company called Total Care Private Duty Nursing. Vera was a member of Crosspoint Community Church in Idaho Falls and a previous member at The Church of God in Christ. She enjoyed cooking, baking and long walks. Vera is survived by her daughter, Joyce (daughter) Jackson of Idaho Falls, ID, son, Nathanael (Jennie) Jackson of Cookeville, TN, son, Douglas Jackson of Bremerton, WA, son, Michael Jackson of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Helen Jackson, step-son, Johnny (Carma) Jackson of Brinnon, WA, 20 grandchildren, Marvin, Unika, Reina, Tara, Maya, Yvette, Keja, Natalie, Ronance, Rebecca, Jeremiah, Mary Lee, Shawn, Joshua, Taj, Koren, Michael J., Miriah, Zechariah, and Gabriel; and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Marvin F. Greene and Joseph Jackson and a step-daughter, Georgia. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 9, 2018, at Crosspoint Community Church, 1900 Grandview Drive.

Interment will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home, Memorial Park and Cemetery in Lakewood, Washington.
