VERA ROBINSON
IDAHO FALLS, ID --
Vera Clark Robinson, 87, longtime Iona resident, died April 28, 2006 at The Gables Assisted Living in Idaho Falls.
She was born May 2, 1918, in Iona, Idaho, to David Roy Clark and Mary Ann Ward Clark. She attended schools in Iona, graduating from Iona High School.
She married Alfred Joseph Robinson December 27, 1936 in Rigby, Idaho. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple February, 1950. During the war she worked as a Chemist for Utah/Idaho Sugar Factory. She also worked at LeBaron’s Café as a waitress, as a meter maid for the City of Idaho Falls, as a bread maker for the Bonneville School District lunch program, and always, as a homemaker.
As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served as Relief Society 1st Counselor, Primary Teacher and Jr. Sunday School Coordinator. She was a member of the Bonneville Art Association and enjoyed oil painting, quilting and baking.
She is survived by:
Daughter: Sandra (Lavar) Webster, Blackfoot, ID;
Son: Jon (Linda) Robinson, Blackfoot, ID;
Son: Dave (Diane) Robinson, Idaho Falls;
7 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Alfred Joseph Robinson, five brothers, two sisters and two grandsons.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 2, 2006 at the Iona LDS Ward building at 5169 East Denning Avenue, with Bishop Robert Nield officiating.
The family will visit with friends at the Wood Funeral Home, East Side Chapel, 963 Ammon Road, Monday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and for one hour prior to services at the church.
Burial will be in the Iona Cemetery under the direction of Wood East Side Chapel, 963 South Ammon Road, Idaho Falls.

First of all my name is Abra, I don't know if you remember me . . . I took care of your parents. I loved them so dearly and I was so sorry to have heard about Vera's death. I quit before she died and I just so happened to get the obituary the day after the funeral. I am so sorry and I just wanted to let you know that I love Vera and she holds a special place in my heart.
