Click Here To View Memorial Video Vera June Williams, 84, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, passed away May 24, 2013, at Lincoln Court Retirement Community. She was under the care of Hearts for Hospice. She was born November 18, 1928, in Benicia, California, to Leslie John Lingren and Martha Horman Lingren. The family moved to Idaho Falls when she was very young. Vera June graduated from Idaho Falls High School before studying singing at Ricks College. Vera June married Joel Dean Williams on March 22, 1967, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They made their life together in Idaho Falls. She was a homemaker. Joel passed away October 9, 2006. Vera June was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in all of the auxiliaries at some time in her life. She served as chorister in church and sang in the choir. She assisted with Special Needs Primary. She sang in musical productions in the Civic Auditorium, sang at funerals and weddings, and in church. Vera June was a member of the Idaho Falls Music Club and the Choralaires for over twenty years and served as president of both. She enjoyed music, upholstering furniture and sewing clothing. Vera June is survived by Brother, Clinton Lingren of San Diego, California; Sister, Marcia Elaine McChesney of Idaho Falls, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother Robert, and a sister, LaVern Clark. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 1, 2013, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge. The family will meet with friends from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Burial will be in the Iona Cemetery.
