Venna Reed

VENNA REED IDAHO FALLS, IDAHO -- Venna Elizabeth Croft Reed, 75, of Idaho Falls, died November 1, 2007, at her home. She was under the care of Aspen Home Health & Hospice. She was born September 25, 1932, in Idaho Falls, to Jess Croft and Venna Hays Harding Croft. She grew up and attended schools in the area, graduating from Idaho Falls High School. She continued her education at Brigham Young University where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. On November 3, 1955, she married Richard Browning Reed in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. He preceded her in death April 28, 2004. She was a mother and homemaker. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Survivors include: Daughter: Mary Reed, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Sarah Reed, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Louise Reed, Scottsdale, AZ Son: Richard Croft (Jillyn) Reed, Stansbury Park, UT Daughter: Virginia Reed (Russell J.) Mathews, Idaho Falls, ID Sister: Julia (Clyde) Hurst, Richfield, UT Sister: Margaret (Tom) Wilcox, Idaho Falls, ID 5 Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother, and a sister. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, November 5, 2007, at the Taylor Mountain LDS Stake Center, 260 Castlerock, with Bishop Baird McNaught of the Idaho Falls Woodhaven Ward officiating. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge, and Monday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Your Mom and Dad were great examples of a couple devoted to following the teachings and expectations of our Heavenly Father. Your Father made special efforts to encourage me to do the right things and your Mother was such a regal example of womanhood and true eternal companionship. It was such a blessing to have a family like yours in the ward to look up to and set such a good example.
