VAUNDA FISHER
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Vaunda Beth Jones Fisher, 81, of Idaho Falls, died January 22, 2003, at her home after a prolonged illness.
She was born December 21, 1921, in Ucon, Idaho, to Percy J. Jones and Nola Belle Foglesong Jones. She grew up and attended schools in Ucon.
During World War II she worked in an aircraft factory in California, where she met her future husband, Henry Alvero “Jack” Fisher, whom she married February 17, 1944, in Roswell, New Mexico. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She was a mother and homemaker.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Primary and Relief Society organizations. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and crafts, and loved to make things to give to her friends.
Surviving are:Husband: Henry “Jack” Fisher, Idaho Falls, IDDaughter: Joann [Garry] Fife, Shelley, IDSon: Doyle [Karen] Fisher, Idaho Falls, ID 6 Grandchildren, 9 Great GrandchildrenShe was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents, a son, Randy H. Fisher, two brothers, Lloyd and Gilbert, and a sister, Maria.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 25, 2003, at the Wood Chapel of the Pines, 273 North Ridge, with Bishop Merrill Hanny of the Shelley LDS Taylor Ward officiating.
The family will visit with friends on Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and on Saturday for one hour prior to the services, both at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge,
Burial will be in Ucon Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
