Vanessa "Oliver" Pineda

Vanessa Lynn “Oliver” Pineda, 15, of Basalt, passed away August 21, 2023, at her/his home.

Vanessa “Oliver” was born December 19, 2007, in Blackfoot, Idaho, to Joan Sebastian Pineda Hernandez and Jessica Lynn Miller Vazquez. She/he grew up and attended schools in Firth and was a Sophomore at Firth High School.

She/he enjoyed drawing, scaring at Planet Doom, fighting with her/his sisters, creating, and being the best big sibling and uncle she/he could be.

Vanessa “Oliver” is survived by her/his loving mother, Jessica Vazquez of Basalt, ID; sister, Lucia Pineda of Basalt, ID; brother, Logan Vazquez of Denver, CO; sister, Selina Rilang of Basalt, ID; grandparents, Alex & Carol Pineda of Basalt, ID; Lucia Hernandez Valois of Mexico; grandparents, Juan & Lorena Pineda of Greeley, CO; and grandparents, Alvin & Lavenda Miller of Sutherland, NE.

She/he was preceded in death by her/his father, Joan Pineda Hernandez, and  sister, Kylee Nichole Vazquez.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 26, 2023, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road. The family will visit with friends from 1 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service.
