Val Stewart

Val J. Stewart, 63, of Idaho Falls, passed away August 21, 2010 at his home from natural causes. Val was born April 24, 1947 in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Bud Conrad and Sharal Roxy Gray Stewart. He was later adopted and raised by his mother and her second husband, Ivan Gail Stewart. He grew up and attended schools in the area. Val was self employed as a trucker for DVMT Trucking. On August 18, 1966 he married Sharon Elizabeth Rue in Jackson, Wyoming. Together they raised four children. They were later divorced. Val enjoyed camping, biking, and snow-machining. Survivors include his sons Robert Lance Stewart, Bountiful UT; Jason J. Stewart, Bountiful, UT; and Nicholas Sean Messmer of Idaho Falls, ID; and his brother Dennis Dean Stewart of Shelley, ID. He was preceded in death by his son Russell Lynn Stewart. In keeping with Val’s wishes, his family will hold private services.
