Vadea "Dee" Mcdougal

Vadea Kay "Dee" Brown McDougal, 57, of Idaho Falls, passed away on September 15, 2017, at her home.

She was born April 30, 1960, in Idaho Falls, Idaho to John Simpson Brown and Dixie Theora Burke Brown. She grew up in the area and attended Ethel Boyes Elementary and O. E. Bell Junior High School.

On October 10, 1980, she married George Harry McDougal in Shelley, Idaho. They made their home in Idaho Falls. To this union were born two daughters: Dixie and Rose. Dee worked at a seafood processing plant, potato warehouse, and was a Certified Nursing Assistant working at various nursing homes.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Dee enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, cooking, crocheting, knitting, and making leather medicine pouches.

Dee is survived by her husband, George McDougal of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Dixie Lynn McDougal of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Rose Ann (Leon) Winterfield of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Merla (Fred) Brewer of Roberts, ID; brother, Robert "Jess" Brown of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Verlene Jansen of Blackfoot, ID; sister, Elizabeth Coulson of Idaho Falls, ID; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Rodney Brown and Rick Brown; a sister, Carol Stayley; a niece, Michele Scampone Brewer; a great niece, Telicia Dawn Brewer; two other great nieces; and three grandchildren.
