Ursula Elisabeth Georgi Olsen, 86, of Idaho Falls, formerly of Vacaville, passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center after a short illness.
Ursula was born March 4, 1926 in Luckenau, Germany to Bernhard Georgi and Elisabet Klara Yuenling Georgi. She grew up and attended schools in Luckenau.
Ursula came to the United States in 1953. She lived in Vacaville, California, where she met Ernie Olsen. They were married November 6, 1954. In May of 1956, their loving daughter Sandra was born. Ursula lived in Vacaville for 47 years before moving to Idaho Falls in 2000 to be closer to her daughter.
Ursula worked as a factory laborer and general housekeeper for Basic Vegetable Products of Basic American Food for her entire career.
She was a member of the Lutheran faith and enjoyed playing bingo, bowling, and crocheting.
Ursula is survived by her daughter Sandra (Stephen) Henicksman of Idaho Falls, ID;
and her sister, Wilma Radschiner of Germany.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ernie.
Graveside Services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 17, 2012 at Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will visit with friends from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 North Ridge Avenue) prior to leaving for the cemetery.
