Tyson Layne Sherwood

Tyson Layne Sherwood, 39, of Menan, passed away May 4, 2024, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

He was born May 7, 1984, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Jon Sherwood and Karen Heaton Sherwood. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Skyline High School. He also attended Eastern Idaho Technical College.

Tyson worked as a waste truck driver for Distilled Resources in Rigby, Idaho.

He was a hard worker and accomplished many things over the years. He had many friends and  enjoyed going to coffee with them. His favorite restaurant was O'Brady's in Idaho Falls. He loved spending time with his nieces and nephews. He enjoyed the outdoors when he had the time, and he was an awesome cook! He loved to BBQ anything for family gatherings! He recently started forging knives and was very accomplished at it.

Tyson is survived by his mother, Karen Heaton of Menan, ID; life partner, Ashley Kirchner, of Menan, ID; sisters, AdrieAnn (Jeff) Wadsworth of Idaho Falls, ID, and Tesra (Gary) Tiblow of Ammon, ID.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jon Sherwood; grandparents, Joe and Joy Sherwood; grandmother, Wilma Davis; and Uncle, Joe Sherwood.

A gathering will be held Saturday June 1, 2024, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
