Tyrel Curtis Bateman

Tyrel Curtis Bateman, 40, of Arco, passed away May 28, 2024.

Tyrel was born November 26, 1983, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Curtis Dee Bateman and Lisa Doney Bateman. He grew up and attended schools in Iona, Idaho, and graduated from Lincoln High School.

On August 25, 2007, he married Steffani Anne Nelson in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

Tyrel worked in the service industry for quite some time, caring for the mentally challenged, elderly, and Alzheimer’s residents. He worked for KIFI multiple times from high school on. Tyrel’s true talent was in sales. For nearly 20 years, he had honed his skill working with Idaho Bread and Pastries, Hayden Brewing, and most recently, as the Sales Manager for Sprinter Heating and Hydronics. Tyrel was dedicated and only wanted to provide for his wife and kids.

He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, nature walks, and collecting rocks. What Tyrel loved the most was his family. His whole world was his wife, Steffani, and kids, Jaxsen and Kennedy.

Tyrel left this world way too soon and unexpectedly. The heart that gave so easily, loved so much, beat for his wife and children, suddenly stopped.

Tyrel is survived by his wife, Steffani Bateman of Arco, ID; son, Jaxsen Curtis Bateman of Arco, ID; daughter, Kennedy Annalise Bateman of Arco, ID; father, Curtis Dee (Rone) Bateman of Iona, ID; sister, Chellsea (Mitch) Jensen of Taber, Canada; brother, Judd Dennis Bateman of Idaho Falls, ID; brother-in-law, Derrikk (Brie) Nelson of Idaho Falls, ID; in-laws, Steve (Debbie) Nelson of Idaho Falls, ID; grandma, Wylene Bateman of Iona, ID; and great grandma, Leah Ivie Bitton of Iona, ID.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lisa Doney Bateman; grandfather, Horace Val Doney; grandmother, Jeanine Doney; and grandpa, Dennis Bateman.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 7, 2024, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 6:30-8 p.m. and Friday from 1-1:45 p.m. prior to services, both visitations at the funeral home.
