Michael Tyler Hinckley, 21, passed away Saturday, August 5, 2017, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls, following injuries sustained in a car accident. Tyler was born April 9, 1996, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, the son of Michael Blair Hinckley and Heidi Lyn Carlson. He graduated from Skyline High School in June, 2014. Tyler had just returned from serving an honorable mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Illinois Chicago West Mission. He was planning to attend Brigham Young University-Idaho in the fall. Tyler loved spending time with family and friends. He loved boating, fishing, dirt biking, shooting, listening to and playing music and watching movies. He enjoyed cracking jokes and making everyone laugh. Tyler was loved and will be missed by many. He has touched the lives of the many people he had the opportunity of meeting. Tyler’s memory will live on through his mother, Heidi Carlson, his father, Michael Hinckley, and his other mother, Amy Hinckley, older sister, Jordan (25), and younger sister, Sahara (9), and brother, Kruger (6), grandparents, Brent Carlson, Mel and Barbara Wheeler, Blair and Judy Hinckley, John and Sandy Hickcox, Bruce and Diane Ricks and great grandparents, Leta Carlson and Mildred Sauer, as well as many other aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by great grandparents, Carl Carlson, Percy and Erma Cox, David and Mona Neal, Thomas and Afton Hinckley, and Neal Sauer, and grandfather, Lorin Sauer. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, August 11, 2017, at the Idaho Falls 24th Ward, 1155 First Street, with Bishop Jason Skillings officiating. The family will visit with friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue, and from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Friday at the church. Burial will be in Ririe-Shelton Cemetery.

Ridge Avenue, and from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Friday at the church. Burial will be in Ririe-Shelton Cemetery.
