TRUXTON MADISON IDAHO FALLS, ID - Truxton Dale Madison, age 87, a life long resident of Idaho Falls, passed away in Ephraim, Utah, on Tuesday the 10th of February, 2004. He and his wife have been under the full-time loving care of his daughter Charlotte, since suffering a stroke seven years ago. He was born on the 26 of June, 1916, the second son of John Louis Madison and Sarah Coop Barlow. He grew up in Lincoln. On the 9th of February, 1934, he married Lottie Jones of Ammon. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple. Truxton was employed by the Union Pacific Railroad in Idaho Falls as a switchman and worked for the company 39 years. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served as the Bishop of the Ninth Ward and was known for his kind and gentle manner. His main interest in life was his family and friends. He also enjoyed temple work and relaxing at his cabin at Mack's Inn. He is survived by his wife, Lottie Madison of Ephraim, Utah. a son, Dr. Richard (Jerrie) Madison of St. George, Utah, and a daughter, Charlotte Ann (Eugene) Moulton of Ephraim, Utah, six grandsons, two granddaughters, and 20 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 14, 2004, at the Idaho Falls LDS 9th Ward, 395 - 2nd Street, with Bishop Larry Campbell officiating. The family will visit with friends on Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Wood East Side (963 S. Ammon) and Saturday for one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in Ammon Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
