TRISTY CHRISTENSEN
AMERICAN FORK, UT -- Tristy J. Christensen, 41, formally of Idaho Falls, died September 28, 2005 in an automobile accident in American Fork, Utah.
She was born on March 11, 1964, to Stephen Krieg and Leona Janene Burk Krieg at the Portsmouth Naval Hospital in Virginia. She spent her early years in Norfolk, Virginia and then moved to Idaho when she was 5 years old. She went to Chubbuck Elementary and Hawthorne Junior High. She played the flute and was proud that she was in 1st chair in the band. She won several awards for the flute including Outstanding Bandsman. She graduated from Highland High School in 1982. She was an Honor Student and in the Who's Who of American High School Students. She was in 4-H and won many ribbons. She worked at AMI for four years to earn enough money to go to college at Brigham Young University (BYU). She went to BYU to get her degree in education. She worked at the BYU telephone office as a part time supervisor until she graduated from BYU on April 23, 1993. Her internship was at Cascade Elementary in Orem, Utah, from 1993-1995.
She moved back to Idaho and got a job with Kinghorn Elementary in Rigby. She then moved to Idaho Falls in 1995. She enjoyed teaching at Kinghorn from 1995 to 1999. She then went to Roberts Elementary from 1999 to 2001. She started working for Edward Jones Investments in 2001 as a Branch Assistant in Idaho Falls then moved to Rigby as an Office Administrator in November, 2001. She then transferred to American Fork, Utah, in June, 2004, and was working there when she passed away.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and enjoyed going to the Temple. She was a very caring, thoughtful person to everyone she knew. She taught a gospel doctrine class at her church.
She married Alan Christensen in Idaho Falls, by the Falls on May 20, 2005. They lived in Provo, Utah. She enjoyed walks with her husband in the Provo Canyon by Bridal Falls. She loved to do scrapbooking and has many wonderful books. She loved her family and always tried to do the best she could for people.
Survivors include her husband, Alan Christensen, a stepson, Brad Christensen, a stepdaughter, Chelsea Christensen, her mother, Jan Sasinouski of Idaho Falls, her father, Stephen Krieg of Indiana, her (adopted) father Victor Frisk of Pocatello, four brothers, Troy (Jeni) Garman of Fountain, Colorado, Tony Krieg of Idaho Falls, Stevie Krieg of Indiana and Travis Frisk of Idaho Falls, two grandmothers, Cleo Burk of Pocatello and Evelyn Krieg of Akron, Indiana. She was preceded in death by a brother, Tracy Garman, and two grandfathers, Fred Burk of Pocatello and Dale Krieg of Indiana.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, October 3, 2005 at the Idaho Falls LDS Willow Creek Ward (6925 North 15 East - St. Leon Road) with Bishop Andrus officiating. The family will visit with friends on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Willow Creek Ward and Monday for one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be at the Lincoln Cemetery on Lincoln and Hitt roads.

Tristy was a very good friend of mine since we were very young. We had many good times together and I have a lot of fond memories. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time. I regret that I will be unable to attend the services.

I'm very sorry to hear about Tristy. We attended the Singles' Ward in I.F. together and were V.Ting partners. She was very special and I was very lucky to know her!! Once again, I'm very sorry for your loss.
