Trent Bates

Trent Dee Bates, 39, of Idaho Falls, passed away February 18, 2018.

He was born March 14, 1978, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to David E. Bates and Connie Peterson Bates. He grew up in the area and graduated from Shelley High School. He also attended Ricks College.

Trent worked in the construction industry and installed flooring. He loved sharing his skills and knowledge to create beautiful things for others to enjoy. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and participated in youth programs.

Trent loved animals - from stray cats he would find and name to the horses and dogs he cared for most of his life. He loved his nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Trent is survived by his parents, David and Connie Bates of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Trenna Bates of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Todd (Laura) Bates of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Trevor (Adria) Bates of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Tauna Bates of Idaho Falls, ID; four nephews and two nieces.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 23, 2018, at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) in Idaho Falls. The family will visit with friends on Friday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ammon Cemetery.
