Tony Neal Vitley, 67, of Ammon, passed away January 9, 2016, at his home. Tony was born May 15, 1948, in Boise, Idaho, to Junior Vincent Vitley and Mary Elizabeth Edwards. He lived in Boise for 32 years, and then moved to Idaho Falls, where he attended Riverside Service Group. He lived with a few families who helped him learn and grow. Tony worked for the Forest Service from 1972-1973. He participated in the Special Olympics and received many medals in running and bowling. Tony was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed reading, collecting trains and model cars, going for rides, dogs, and visiting family. He especially enjoyed pickles and milkshakes. Tony is survived by his mother, Mary Edwards of Boise, ID; sister, Kathy Amlin of Boise, ID; sister, Eddie Sue Brown of Boise, ID; sister, Patricia Empey (Doug) of Boise, ID; sister, Mary (Howard) Rohner of Nampa, ID; sister, Theresa (Jon) Wilson of Boise, ID. He was preceded in death by his father, Junior Vincent Vitley; grandparents; brother, John Edwards; and brothers-in-law, Mark Amlin and Clark Brown. Private family services will be held.
