Tony Johnny

Tony Johnny, 90, of Idaho Falls, passed away December 16, 2023, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Tony was born May 26, 1933, in Fallon, Nevada, to George Johnny and Bessie Breckenridge Johnny. He grew up and attended schools in Fallon, and graduated from Churchhill High School. He later trained to be and auto mechanic at Haskell Technical School.

On June 2, 1969, he married Elisa Fregoso in Reno, Nevada. Tony and Elisa made their home in Lancaster, California, where Tony worked in the auto repair industry.

Tony was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He helped bring his whole family into the church. He cherished his faith and served diligently throughout his life. He loved being in the outdoors, spending time hunting, and fishing. He had many hobbies, and particularly loved photography and fixing cars.

Tony is survived by his children, Ralph (Annette) Perez of Idaho Falls, ID, Martha (Ben) Hancock of Idaho Falls, ID, Anthony (Allyson Hunt) Johnny of Gilbert, AZ, and Karen (Kevin) Martz of North Edwards, CA; 8 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, brother, George Johnny, and sister, Clara Lopez.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue. The family will visit with friends from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service.

Military Honors will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team and Idaho Honor Guard.
