Tony Henman, 61, of Idaho Falls, passed away November 26, 2020, at the same home he was raised in.
Tony was born November 8, 1959, in Rigby, Idaho, to Robert 'Bob' Henman and Emma Elizabeth Croft Henman. He grew up in Idaho Falls and attended Idaho Falls High School. He went on to work for Idahoan Foods as the Production Foreman an was well-regarded there.
On June 22, 1995, he married Christine Ann Fleckenstein on the South Fork in Idaho. She brought two children to the marriage, Rose and Jeffrey. Tony and Christine made their home in Idaho Falls. They loved to take family camping trips and regularly enjoyed the great outdoors.
Tony spent much of his free time collecting semi-precious, unique rocks, rare gems, and crystals. He was also known for his steelhead fishing prowess. He made many friends and acquaintances on the Salmon River–from Ellis to Corn Creek–most notably his very good friend, Mike Peterson, of North Fork. Additionally, he was an avid Forrest Fenn hidden treasure fan. He spent numerous hours studying and researching this mystery in an attempt to find the treasure.
Tony was well-known throughout the intermountain region as being hard-working, generous, and kind. He had a way of making people smile and touched many lives on his journey. He enjoyed being a part of the community. The family wishes to express gratitude for the outpouring of condolences and offers of support that continue to flow upon news of his passing.
Tony is survived by his siblings, Robert Steven (Annette) Henman of Clearfield, UT, Betty Ann (Calvin) Johnson of Idaho Falls, ID, Mike (Jeri) Henman of Mayville, WI, and Teresa (Lee) Hadfield of Tucson, AZ; step-daughter, Rose Mendonca of San Rafael, CA; step-son, Jeffrey (Amanda) Paginini of Reno, NV; two step-grandchildren whom he adored, Iris and Gemma; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, and his companion of several years, Kathy.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 7, 2020, at Fielding Memorial Park.
