TILLIE A. JENSEN
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Tillie Agnes Grimaud Jensen, 90, of Idaho Falls, died March 8, 2003, at Idaho Falls Care Center from causes incident to age.
She was born December 13, 1912, in Blackfoot, Idaho, to Adrian Pierre Grimaud and Evelina Doutre Grimaud, the twelfth of sixteen children. Her father was a stockman and rancher and the family spent their summers on a ranch near Pingree. She attended Catholic schools in Blackfoot. She enjoyed attending dances with her sister, Matilda. Her father passed away when she was 15 years old.
In 1937 she married Soren D. Jensen and moved to Terreton, where Soren farmed and did carpenter work. They had two children, a son, Jerry Soren Jensen, and a daughter, Donna Jean Jensen Stibal, both born in Blackfoot. Tillie was a wonderful cook. The family spent many holidays at Soren and Tillie's home having holiday dinners. Her husband passed away in 1971, then she moved to Idaho Falls, where she worked at different jobs to stay busy.
She was a member of Trinity Methodist Church. With her friends, she enjoyed going to church, eating dinner, and going for drives.
She always enjoyed having a large flower garden, sewing, crocheting and spending time with her family and friends. She looked forward to spending weekends with her family and calling her sister in Canada.
Surviving are:Son: Jerry Soren (Almina) Jensen, Idaho FallsStep-Daughter: Dolores Pavek, The Dalles, ORSister: Irene Marcoux, Quebec, CA7 Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren, and 4 Great Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, fourteen brothers and sisters, and a daughter, Donna Jensen Stibal.
Memorial Services will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2003, at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church (237 N. Water Avenue) with Reverend Thomas Larson officiating.
Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
