Thomas Karl Holm

Thomas Karl Holm, 68, of Idaho Falls, passed away October 5, 2026, at the Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Tom was born October 24, 1957, in Rexburg, Idaho, to DelRay Holm and Shirlee Ann Drake Holm. He grew up in Roberts and attended Roberts Elementary and Roberts Junior High School. He graduated from Skyline High School. He attended Eastern Idaho Votech and received his welding degree.

On May 5, 1978, he married Toni Lynne Olsen in Idaho Falls, ID. They were later sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple in 1979. Tom and Toni made their home in Roberts, and later moved back to Idaho Falls, where Tom worked as a farmer in Roberts and Osgood.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in the library for many years, served with President Dye in the Spanish Branch, and as a ward missionary.

Tom spent his life farming on his family farm with his dad and brothers. He loved the farm life. He loved old tractors and fast cars. He enjoyed having his kids and grandkids work with him on the farm. He successfully carried out a potato diversion by going to Washington D.C. He enjoyed pulling the Democratic float in the 4th of July parade for many years. He was a pilot, and loved making and selling his own M80's. He made friends everywhere he went, and knew everyone. He loved giving treats to the grandchildren! More than anything Tom loved being a grandpa. His grandkids were his pride and joy.

Tom is survived by his wife, Toni Lynne Holm of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Jessica (Blake) Hansen of Rexburg, ID; daughter, Jaime (Jake) Wendling of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Kimberly (Shawn Baird) Holm of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Hilary Holm of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Chelsie (Sean) White of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Doug (Mary Jo) Holm of Rigby, ID; brother, Jim (Stacy) Holm of Ammon, ID; brother, Otto (Glenna) Holm of Roberts, ID; sister, Jennifer (Byron) Wood of Roberts, ID; 17 grandchildren and 2 great-granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by his parents, DelRay and Shirlee Holm; son, Casey Holm; sister, LeeAnn Holm; and sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Holm, and Jolene Holm.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at the Idaho Falls Pioneer Ward, 2020 S. Charlotte Drive. The family will visit with friends Friday evening from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue in Idaho Falls, and Saturday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. prior at the church. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.
