TOM HEATH IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Thomas Roy “Tom” Heath, 76, of Idaho Falls, passed away June 18, 2005, at Heise Campground. Tom was born June 1, 1929, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Milton Heath and Adela Boettcher Heath. He grew up and attended schools in Milwaukee. He then moved to Seattle, Washington, and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from Seattle University. Tom served in the U. S. Navy for four years. He retired from the U.S. Naval Reserves as a Commander. He lived in Seattle, Washington, Clarkston, Idaho, Butte, Montana, and moved to Idaho Falls in 1958. He married Terry Diane Cox June 15, 1980, in Idaho Falls. He went to work with Tandy & Wood Insurance Agency in 1960. In 1968 he purchased Tandy and Wood along with Les Kiel and Ervin Hill. Tom became a licensed pilot in 1974, was a member of the Idaho State Insurance Committee, and became a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) in 1976. In 1978 he served as President of the Independent Insurance Agents and was Agent of the Year. He served as the President of the Idaho Falls Country Club in 1980. Tom loved golf, flying, sailing and skiing. He served on the Ski Patrol at Pine Basin. On February 20, 1988, he got his one and only Hole in One at the Rupert Country Club. Heath, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Valerie (Kenny) Hansen of Layton, UT Daughter: Claudia (Terrance) Weber of Solana Beach, CA Daughter: Marlys (Steve) Shelton of Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Jane (Martin) Mock of Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Amy (Kurt) Smith of Idaho Falls, ID Sister: Nancy (Ervin) Uerling of Gleason, WI Sister-in-Law: Elaine Heath 13 Grandchildren: Jennifer (Juan) Scott, Thomas (Sarah) Mead, Robert (Rachel) Hansen, Stacie (Grant) Stewart, Sabrena (Austin) Banford, Daniel (Jamie) Hansen, Jacob Andrew Weber, Riley Lee Shelton, Olivia Shelton, Jonah Lloyd Mock, Rachele Adell Mock, Jesse Thomas Mock, Kolton Smith, and 9 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two wives, Marlys Severn Heath and Patricia Haney Heath, his brother James R. Heath, and a sister, Barbara Heath. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2005, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge, with his son-in-law, Kenny Hansen, officiating. The family will visit with friends Wednesday for one hour prior to the services at Wood Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Taylor Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home. Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team and the Hawkbill Base US Submarine Veterans Group. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Hawkbill Base, c/o Woodrow Reed, 320 Appaloosa, Pocatello, ID 83201.
