Thomas Garcia, 56, of Idaho Falls, passed away September 21, 2011, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of natural causes.
Thomas was born December 1, 1954, in Denver, Colorado, the son of Dan Garcia and Francis Eleanor Bejarano Garcia. He grew up in a little suburb of Denver called Thornton and graduated from Thornton High School.
He served in the U. S. Army as a E4 Specialist during the Vietnam War.
On June 18, 1991, he married Cynthia Ann Johnson at Brighton, Colorado. Thomas worked in Maintenance for the City of Thornton, Colorado. They made their home in the Denver area until 2002, when they moved to Idaho Falls.
Thomas loved fishing, the Denver Broncos, and his family. He also enjoyed tinkering with vehicles.
Thomas is survived by his loving wife, Cynthia, two daughters, Carrie Willison of Idaho Falls, ID, and Christina Garcia of Denver, CO; two sons, Chris (Heather) Willison of Libby, MT, and Joseph Shelton of Idaho Falls, ID; a brother, Dan (Sen) Garcia of Tucson, AZ; a sister, Geri (Phill) Baca of Westminster, CO; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 24, 2011, at Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery, Idaho Falls, with Pastor Warren Cuppy officiating. Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team and Idaho Honor Guard.
