Thomas Cowan

Thomas Moody Cowan, 73, of Idaho Falls, passed away July 26, 2023, at Life Care Center of Idaho Falls.

Tom was born September 4, 1949, in Killeen, Texas, to Claude Moody Cowan and Mary Ruth Boydstun Cowan. He grew up and attended schools in Coppers Cove, Texas, and graduated from Coppers Cove High School. Tom worked as a handyman for Burger King in Killeen, Texas.

He was a member of the Baptist church. He enjoyed music and singing, and anything in the outdoors including camping, fishing, and going for walks.

Tom is survived by his son, Chris (Chelsi) Cowan of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Mary Margaret Cowan of OK; daughter, Tammy Marie Cowan of WY; brother, Bobby (Joanne) Cowan of TX; sister-in-law, Anelle Cowan of TX; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents. His brother, Melvin Cowan, passed away within hours after Tom.
