IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Thomas Keith Bowcutt, 81, of Idaho Falls, died January 2, 2005, at his home.
He was born November 26, 1923, in Riverside, Calif., to Thomas James Bowcutt and Millie Ann Moore Bowcutt. He attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1941. He enlisted in the US Navy in April 1944, at Farragut, Idaho, and served in the South Pacific during World War II. Upon his discharge in 1946, he returned to Idaho Falls where he met Eileen Maria Elg.
On August 10, 1946, he married Eileen, the special woman who has been his love and companion for 58 years. They have four children, Toni, Carol, Mike and Christie.
Keith retired in 1979 after working 27 years for various contractors who ran the site here in Idaho. Keith and Eileen became "Snowbirds," and traveled south way before snow fell here in the cold north. While living in Arizona, he met many friends from around the country and he enjoyed the southern climate.
Keith has been active in many bowling leagues both here in Idaho Falls and in Yuma and would watch the bowlers on TV and cheer them on when they were "on a roll." He was a member of the American Legion and was always proud of the fact he was a Veteran.
Keith is survived by his wife, Eileen; children, Toni Marie (Arthur) Gimpel of Idaho Falls, Carol (Eric) English of Idaho Falls, T. Michael (Connie) Bowcutt of Idaho Falls and Christie Jo Bowcutt of Hot Sulpher Springs, Colo.; seven grandchildren, Melissa Osborne, Keith Gimpel, Kim Clark, Jennifer Ericsson, Peter Evans, David Bowcutt and Sandra Bowcutt; nine great-grandchildren, Kendell Osborne, Baylee Ericsson, Tanner Ericsson, Payton Clark, Dalton Clark, Paige Clark, Tyndale Evans, Alex Evans and Isaac Evans.
