Theola Mccafferty

Theola Geneva Radford McCafferty, 83, of Ucon, Idaho, passed away peacefully at home with her loving family on July 17, 2011. Theola was born July 22, 1927, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She was the eighth and youngest child of John Edward Radford and Eva Miranda Teeples Radford. She grew up and attended school in Labelle and Idaho Falls. Theola married Dean Walter McCafferty on January 19, 1946, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She worked at Rogers Brothers Potato Plant and later at Hart’s Bakery, where she met Dean. They lived in Idaho Falls for 19 years and moved to Ucon in 1965. Theola and Dean were married for 63 years. Dean passed away August 26, 2009. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her hobbies were family, fishing, camping, playing cards, tole painting, crafts and her flowers. Surviving are her children, Carol North of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Mickey (Judy) McCafferty of Idaho Falls, Idaho; Judy MacDonald of Idaho Falls, Idaho; Brenda (Dave) Chase of Menan, Idaho; 10 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; five brothers, Lorin Radford, Karrel Radford, Carl Radford, Blaine Radford, and Dallas Radford; and two sisters, Estella Noreen and Verda Richards. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 22, 2011, at the Annis-Little Butte Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S.
