THELMA DUTSON REDFORD
MESA, AZ -- Thelma Fugal Dutson Redford, 93, a Mesa resident for most of the past 25 yeasr, passed away June 5, 2006.
She was born in Woodville, Idaho, May 29, 1913, the fourth child born to James Peter Fugal and Annie Rebecca Thorne Fugal. She attended grade school in Woodville and high school in Shelley, Idaho, where she graduated in 1931.
She married Rollo Dutson in 1934 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Together they successfully operated a farm and grocery store in Roberts, Idaho, as they raised their family.
Thelma was preceded in death by her first husband of 46 years, Rollo Dutson. After Rollo died in 1980, she married Seth Redford. He passed away in 1997.
As a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in many church callings, including missions and working in the temple.
She is survived by her three sons, Thayne Dutson of Covalis, Oregon, Steven Dutson of Fruit Heights, Utah, and Jim Dutson of Mesa, Arizona; and one son-in-law, Duane LeSueur of Mesa. She was preceded in death by her two daughters, Karma Dutson and Leilani Dutson LeSueur. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.
Thelma was an expert in many areas, especially gardening and fishing. She was also an enthusiastic world traveler. She enjoyed life to the fullest and didn't like to miss out on anything. In her later years, she lived in Mesa and enjoyed being with her extended family in this area. She enjoyed many friendships at Fellowship Square, where she lived in Mesa. She also had many friends from Idaho and friends she met at church. She and her enthusiasm will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
A viewing will be held Tuesday, Juloy 13, 2006, at Bunker's Garden Chapel, 33 North Centennial Way, Mesa, from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 14, 2006, at the Mesa LDS Parkview Branch, 1007 South 72nd Street, Mesa. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to the services at the church.
Additional Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 17, 2006, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge, Idaho Falls, Idaho. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to the services at Wood Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery.
