THELMA EYNON IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Thelma Dowd Eynon, 92, of Idaho Falls, died February 1, 2007, at her nieces's home from injuries sustained in an accident at home. She was born September 17, 1914, in Idaho Falls, to David Goldwyn Dowd and Mary Blakely Dowd. She then attended Clair E. Gale in Idaho Falls and schools in Boise, Idaho. She married Hyrum Curtis Eynon December 17, 1942, in San Francisco, California. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple April 9, 1968. They lived in Idaho Falls for 50 years, and he preceded her in death. She had worked as a custodian for School District 91. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served for many years as ward librarian, and was always very kind and unselfish, putting others needs before her own. She enjoyed cooking, doing genealogy, loved to visit with family and friends and was especially close to her niece, CarolAnn and nephew, Reno Torres, and their children, Benjamin, Leticia and Samantha. Survivors include: Brother: George Howard Dowd, San Lorenzo, CA She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Sisters, Ethel Harris and Mary Hahn, and a brother, David Dowd, Jr.. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 8, 2007 at the Idaho Falls LDS 9th Ward, 395 - 2nd Street, with Bishop Larry Haws officiating. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the church.
