Click Here To View Memorial Video Thayne Lords, 75, of Idaho Falls, passed away April 13, 2015, at his home. He was under the care of Aspen Home Health & Hospice. Thayne was born March 4, 1940, in Shelley, Idaho, to James William “Bill” Lords and Clarissa “Clara” May Wilkins Lords. He grew up and attended schools in Rigby and graduated from Rigby High School. He served as a Master Sergeant in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. On July 31, 1959, he married Marjorie Gneiting in Idaho Falls, Idaho. To this union were born five children, Darin, Michael, Jeffrey, Robyn, and Corey. Thayne and Marjorie made their home in Idaho Falls, where Thayne worked as a maintenance supervisor for the INL and Gate City Steel. An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Thayne served in various callings, including High Council member, Bishopric counselor, Scoutmaster, High Priest Group Leader, and Ward Missionary. He served a full-time mission with his wife to Nauvoo, Illinois. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, completing home projects, and being a grandpa. He was a member of the Idaho National Guard for 28 years. Thayne is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Marjorie Lords of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Darin James (Teena) Lords of Rigby, ID; son, Michael Dean (fiancé, Elizabeth) Lords of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Jeffrey Thayne (Kathy) Lords of Chandler, AZ; daughter, Robyn Michelle (Scott) Shadley of Meridian, ID; son, Corey Taylor (Kayla) Lords of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, James Delar (Jeanette) Lords of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Arvin J. (LaDawn) Lords of Rigby, ID; 14 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Clara Lords; and one sister. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, Monday, April 20, 2015, at the Idaho Falls LDS Sage View Ward, 1345 Clarence Drive, with Bishop Jerry Tomlinson officiating. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue, and Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Grant-Central Cemetery where military rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team and Idaho Honor Guard.

12 noon ,Monday, April 20, 2015 Sageview LDS Ward 1345 Clarence Drive Idaho Falls, ID Notes: The family will visit with friends Sunday from 6:30-8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge Ave.) and Monday from 11-11:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Grant-Central Cemetery.
