Tezra Cleverly

Tezra Ann Cleverly, 45, of Idaho Falls, passed away May 9, 2017, at her home.

Tezra was born September 6, 1971, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Richard Vernis Peterson and Brenda Marie Blackburn Peterson. She grew up and attended schools in Iona and graduated from Bonneville High School. She acquired her degrees from Phoenix University & Capella University.

On May 15, 1999, she married Brian Earl Cleverly in Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Tezra and Brian made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Tezra worked as a mental health counselor for Reach Beyond. Brian passed away November 17, 1999.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Primary for many years. She served an LDS Mission in Little Rock, Arkansas. Tezra loved kids, especially her nieces and nephews. She got her Masters in mental health counseling late in life and loved helping people.

Tezra is survived by her father, Richard Vernis Peterson of Idaho Falls, ID; mother, Brenda Marie Peterson of Idaho Falls; brother, Richard Kay Peterson of Tacoma, WA; sister, Christina Marie (Adam) Moon of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Seth Allen (Alicia) Peterson of Raeford, NC.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Brian Earl Cleverly, brother, Adam Nephi Peterson, grandparents, Oliver Kay Peterson, Norma Mae Van Ostrand, Nephi Allen Blackburn, Ellda Marie Hansen Blackburn, and uncles, David Leroy Peterson and Kerry Wendal Peterson.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 13, 2017, at the Iona LDS 9th Ward, 4707 East Iona Road, with Bishop Kevin Davies officiating. The family will visit with friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road, and Saturday from 12:00 Noon to 12:45 pm. at the church. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery.
