Terry Mark Purcell, 63, of Idaho Falls, passed away August 5, 2014, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of cancer. He had been under the loving care of his family since his diagnosis last fall.
Terry was born July 10, 1951, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Mark Hubert Purcell and Helen Grant Purcell. He grew up and attended schools in Ammon and graduated from Bonneville High School in 1969. He also attended Brigham Young University and served a full-time mission for the LDS Church in Equador.
On February 8, 1974, he married Ellen Kristine Cook in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Terry was a farmer and electrician and co-owned Electrical Support Services.
An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served as Elders Quorum President, High Priest Group Leader, Sunday School Teacher, Choir Director, and in many other capacities over the years. Terry enjoyed flying, farming, singing, leading the choir, and playing the guitar.
Terry is survived by his wife of 40 years, Kristine;

sister, Marcele (Harold) Tanner of Goshen, ID,
sister, Meralee (Bart) Cook of Goshen, ID,
sister, Natillie (Mark) Vos of CA,
sister, Darlou (Nathan) Gams of NH.

He was preceded in death by his father, Mark Hubert Purcell, a son, Jayson Mark Purcell, and his grandparents, Leonard and Tillie Purcell and Clarence and Mamie Grant.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 9, 2014, at the Ammon LDS 26th Ward, 1100 South Tiebreaker, with Bishop Sam Pinson officiating. The family will visit with friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday and from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Saturday, both visitations at the church. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery.
