Terry Kimbro

James Terry Kimbro, 83, passed away March 10, 2025 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

He was born April 6, 1941 in Dozier, Alabama to James Dalton Kimbro and Sarah Gertrude Kilpatrick Kimbro. He grew up and attended school in Kinston, Alabama.

Terry served in the Air Force from 1959 to 1963. He also spent many years working on offshore oil rigs, a job which had him traveling all over the world.

He relocated to the state of Idaho in 1994 to be closer to his brother, David. Terry met Glenda Park Mangum and they were married on December 20, 1996 in Blackfoot, Idaho. They made their home in Blackfoot and later moved to Irwin in retirement.

It was there that Terry enjoyed serving on the City Council and Fire Commission. He also enjoyed gun collecting, fishing, and spent many years being "Papa Terry" to his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Terry is survived by his children, Jim (Michele) Mangum, Sharee (Bryan) Sprague, Jeremy (Lisa) Mangum, Rick Morrow and Kris Kimbro; sister Glenda (Charlie) Clark; 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Glenda Kimbro; his parents, James and Sarah Kimbro; sister, Ruth Simmons; brother, David Kimbro; and sister, Wynette Blount.

A service will be held 1 p.m. Monday, March 17, 2025, at the Chapel in the Valley, 3263 US-26, Swan Valley, ID. Following the service, a luncheon will be held, where family and friends are welcome to attend at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3109 Swan Valley Hwy.
