Teresa Petee

Teresa Marion Pettee, 81, of Idaho Falls, passed away Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Rexburg Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was under the care of Hospice of Eastern Idaho. She was born September 1, 1930, in Crockett, California to Eugene and Celia Petee. She grew up in Crockett and attended schools there. Teresa continued her education at Contra Costa College in San Pablo, CA. In 1950, she married Thomas Kenny and together they had four children. Teresa and Thomas had been married for 15 years when he passed away. Teresa was a mother and a homemaker; she also worked for a time as a nurses aide. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary for over 60 years and had served as president of the Idaho Falls American Legion Auxiliary. Teresa was an avid reader. She enjoyed swimming and loved the 49ers. Teresa is survived by Daughter: Pamela (Bert) Lilburn of Menan, ID; Daughter: Muriel (David) Machovec of Idaho Falls, ID; Son: Dennis Kenny of Willits, CA; Son: Thomas Kenny Conway of Idaho Falls, ID; Grandson: Robert Brown of Idaho Falls, ID; and her Sister: Mary Petee of Fremont, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Edna Eisinga and Julie Burnham, and two brothers. Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 31, 2012, at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church (270 North Placer Avenue) with Reverend Susan Speir officiating.
