Teresa Ogren

Teresa June Bretz Ogren, 49, of Idaho Falls, passed away unexpectedly on November 23, 2011 at her home. She was born July 9, 1962 in Worland, Wyoming to James H. Bretz and Sandra June Bassett Bretz. She grew up in the Idaho Falls area and attended Bonneville High School. In 1980, Teresa married William Dale “Bill” Ogren. They later divorced, but remained good friends. Teresa worked as a service deli manager at Smith’s, Fred Meyer, and Safeway grocery stores. She traveled to open and train employees at new stores in Idaho, Utah, and California. She attended Calvary Chapel and enjoyed camping, fishing, shopping at thrift stores and garage sales, and collecting antiques. Teresa’s favorite colors were red and black. She loved chocolate, Icies, and listening to Vince Gill. First and foremost, she loved her family and spending time with them, especially her grandkids. Teresa leaves behind her beloved children: son, Jereme Dale Ogren; daughter, Jenefer June Ogren Mitchell; daughter, Jenesa Lynn Johnson; two grandchildren, Jace Ryan Mitchell and Devenee Joelle Walker, all of Idaho Falls, ID; father, James H. Bretz of Osage City, KS; mother and step-father, Sandra June and Sam Marquess of Hidden Valley Lake, CA; sister, Debra Ruth Bretz of Idaho Falls, ID, and nephews, Zachary Joseph Mahan, Nicholas Bretz Mahan, Conan Lee Wass, and Cameron James Bretz. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Monte and Ruth Bassett; paternal grandparents, Bill and Cora Bretz; and brothers Gregory Strauch, Jamie Bretz, and Mark Bretz. In keeping with Teresa’s wishes, no funeral services will be held and she will be cremated.
