Teresa Murdock

Teresa Ruth Murdock, 66, born October 11, 1951, to Carl O. "Bob" North and Ruth L. Fleming North in Pocatello, Idaho, passed away on March 14, 2018, at her home. She was under the care of hospice and Dr. Lofgran, Sue, Tammy and Sally. As a child, Teresa loved spending time at the Modock with her family on her Grandpa and Grandma North’s homestead. She went to school grades Kindergarten through 12th in Pocatello, Idaho. She graduated from Pocatello High School in 1969. Teresa was a pioneer in the Pocatello Ambulance in the early 1970s. This is where she found her true love of medicine and helping other people. Teresa loved skydiving. She jumped over 20 jumps including a water jump into the Palisades Reservoir. She loved golf, fishing and elk camp at Weber Creek. She was a "crack" shot. Teresa played fast pitch softball. She was the catcher on her team. Teresa talked her whole life of her love for her teammates. Teresa met Steven L. Murdock on Memorial Day 1981. They were married September 7, 1981, in Winnemucca, Nevada. They moved to the Murdock Ranch in Hamer, Idaho. Teresa loved working on the ranch. January 22, 1989 (Super Bowl Sunday), Chance W. Murdock was born. Teresa then became a full-time mother and ranch wife. In 1994, Teresa returned to her love of medicine. She went to work at Madison Memorial Hospital where she held numerous positions for over 22 years of faithful service to that organization. Teresa knew and loved all of the people there. When Teresa first came to Hamer, the house was surrounded by sagebrush, grasshoppers and jackrabbits. She spent her whole married life trying to grow grass and trees. She accomplished it! Teresa’s trees can be seen from Interstate 15. Teresa had a great love for her family and friends. Teresa is survived by her husband, Steven L. Murdock, son, Chance W. Murdock, both from Hamer, Idaho, and a brother, Gary North from Pocatello, Idaho. Teresa was preceded in death by her father, Carl O. "Bob" North and mother, Ruth L. Fleming North and an older brother, Carl Orlando "Bobby" North. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 24, 2018, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, with Clay Murdock officiating. The family will visit with friends Friday from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services, both times at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Archer-Sutton Cemetery.
