Ted J. Davison , 90, of Rigby, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2014.
Ted was born February 20, 1924 in Farmington, Illinois to John Davison Jr. and Lourine Herman Davison. He grew up and attended schools in Farmington, Illinois.
Ted served during WWII in the U.S. Army 310th Infantry, 78th Division, as a Sergeant. He took part in the Battle of Hurtgen Forest; Crossed the Remagen Bridge and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He was awarded The Bronze Star and The Purple Heart.
On November 14, 1946 Ted married his English sweetheart, Doris Watts in Peoria, Illinois. From this union they were blessed with three sons, Terry, Lee and Gary.
Ted was an International Sales Manager for Caterpillar Tractor Company for 40 years. He was an avid golfer, fisherman and hunter, who enjoyed spending valued time with all his friends and family.
Ted attended Christ Community Church in Idaho Falls.
Ted is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Doris;
Son, Terry Wayne (Cheryl) Davison of Punta Gorda, FL;
Son, Randy Lee (Nancy) Davison of Rigby, ID;
Son, Gary Lynn (Jean) Davison of Willis, TX;
6 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at Wood Funeral Home East Side (963 S. Ammon). The family will visit with friends from 10-10:45 a.m. Tuesday prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery.
