Tara Dawn Holverson (Peterson), 33, of Idaho Falls, passed away June 11, 2017, at her home. Tara was born July 24, 1983, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Scott David Holverson and Debbie Diane Barzee Smith. She grew up and attended elementary schools in Idaho Falls. When she was 15 years old, her family moved to Culdesac, Idaho, where she attended and graduated from Culdesac High School. In March of 2002, she married Reginald "Duane" Bascom. They were blessed with a daughter, Keaton. Tara and Duane were later divorced. On December 1, 2015, she married Ryan Scott Peterson in Idaho Falls. Tara became step-mother to his three children, Braxton, Macylyn, and Jaiden. Tara and Ryan made their home in Idaho Falls, where she was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed sports, including volleyball, softball, cheerleading, and football. She was a Denver Broncos super fan. She especially loved spending time with her family and being a mother to her daughter, Keaton. Tara is survived by her loving husband of two years, Ryan Peterson of Idaho Falls, daughter, Keaton Bascom of Idaho Falls, stepson, Braxton Peterson of Idaho Falls, stepdaughter, Macylyn Peterson of Idaho Falls, stepson, Jaiden Peterson of Idaho Falls, mother, Debbie (Steven) Smith of Idaho Falls, father, Scott David (Rhonda) Holverson of Idaho Falls, grandfather, Marion Barzee of Idaho Falls, brother, Jason (Cheryl) Barzee of Round Rock, TX, sister, Trisha (Forrest) Evans of Idaho Falls, brother, Justin Groth of Idaho Falls, sister, Jessica Holverson of Torence, OR, brother, Jacob (Cindy) Holverson of Pocatello, ID, brother, James Holverson of Euegene, OR, and many stepbrothers and stepsisters. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Don and Virgie Holverson and grandmother, Mary "Denise" Barzee. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 15, 2017, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road. The family will visit with friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Thursday, both times at Wood East Side. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery.
