Takeo Sato, 95, of Idaho Falls, passed away December 10, 2015, at the Gables of Ammon. Tak was born December 9, 1920, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Buhei Sato and Yoshio Haughawa Sato. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls. On March 26, 1947, he married Irene Emiko Misumi in Reno, Nevada. To this union were born four children, LeAnn, Deborah, Trudy, and Stuart. Tak and Irene made their home in Idaho Falls, where Tak worked as a bus driver for EG&G at the Idaho National Lab. He enjoyed fly fishing and started golfing at the age of 72 and developed a passion for the sport. Tak is survived by his daughter, Trudy (Gaylen) Denning of Idaho Falls; daughter, LeAnn Bellock of Sandy, UT; daughter, Deborah Norman of South Jordan, UT; brother, Sam Sato of Idaho Falls; brother, Jim Sato of Anaheim, CA; sister, Aki Sumida of CA; sister, Katy Koga of Roy, UT; 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Stuart Sato; wife, Irene Emiko Sato; father, Buhei Sato; and mother, Yoshio Sato. The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses, and the staff at The Gables who cared for Tak. Private family services will be held.
