"T J" Larsen

Tyrell Jon “TJ” Larsen, 31, of Rigby, Idaho, returned to live with his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, April 7, 2015. He had a strong and loving personality. He was always quick to offer a helping hand to anyone in need and he loved to make people laugh. TJ was the big brother to Teagan, Kaiser and Ashtyn and the son of Anna Williams and Bart Larsen. He was born in Idaho Falls on August 19, 1983. He had a special relationship with his Grandparents, Byron and Karen Williams and Gary and Shirley Larsen. He was adored by his parents and grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins and nieces, as well as the Giles family. He cherished his girlfriend of seven years, Kim Sanford. They shared a truly unconditional love for each other. TJ had a natural love for animals and his dogs held a special place in his heart, and his life. He loved the outdoors and usually had a fishing pole in the back of his truck – just in case he had a few extra minutes to stop at a stream or river on his way home from work. TJ had a natural ability to cook and loved to eat good food. He could create with his hands and his imagination. He was an amazing handyman and could fix or build anything. TJ had a passion for riding motorcycles, dirt bikes and snow machines, as well as bumping loud music in his twin turbo Chevy truck. He attended schools in Rigby, Idaho, and participated on teams growing up in the area in baseball and football. As he got old enough to drive and work, he spent winters working, skiing and snowboarding in the various ski lodges and resorts in the area. In his youth, TJ participated in scouting, in church and in the seminary program for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. TJ was a hard worker and worked for many years in various jobs at Eagle Eye Produce of Rigby and Idaho Falls. In September, TJ was diagnosed with terminal cancer and has been undergoing treatments through the Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City, Utah. The hospital staff talked highly of his optimism and easy going personality. He was lovingly cared for by his mother and his father and Kim during his illness. TJ is preceded in death by his Uncle Curt, Aunt Cari and his Bulldog, Buster. He is survived by his soul mate, Kim Sanford of Rigby, Idaho; his parents, Anna Williams of Saratoga Springs, Utah, and Bart Larsen of Idaho Falls, Idaho; his siblings; Teagan and Bryce Olsen of Saratoga Springs, Utah, Kaiser W. Larsen of Provo, Utah, and Ashtyn Larsen of Saratoga Springs, Utah; his nieces, Blake and Spencer Olsen and his grandparents Byron and Karen Williams of Idaho Falls, Idaho and Gary and Shirley Larsen of Idaho Falls, Idaho; as well as his many aunts and uncles and his cousins. He was also loved by many friends and considered them family. His family expresses their appreciation and thanks to friends and family for their support during this difficult time.
