Susann (Hyde) Mckee

SusAnn Hyde McKee, 86, of Idaho Falls (and formerly of Springville, Utah, and Vanderhoof British Columbia), passed away January 22, 2022, at home. She was under the care of her loving family and Hands of Hope Hospice.

SusAnn was born on June 17, 1935, in Logan, Utah, to Willard Parry Hyde and Sara Brown Hyde. She grew up and attended schools in Logan and Springville, and graduated from Springville High School. She also graduated from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.

On August 20, 1957, she married Don R Milner in the Salt Lake Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah. They were the parents of three children, Cindy, Debra, and Richard. They later divorced.

On December 8, 1980, she married Reed Harvey McKee in Vanderhoof, British Columbia, Canada. Their marriage was solemnized in the Jordan River Temple, South Jordan, Utah, on August 30, 1995. SusAnn and Reed made their home in Vanderhoof, BC. SusAnn loved helping Reed on their ranch. She was a grandma to all of Reed's children and grandchildren. She was loved by so many.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and had a strong testimony of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and His love for us. SusAnn was an avid member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers and loved genealogy. She also loved gardening, needlework, quilting, and was a fabulous seamstress.

SusAnn is survived by her daughters, Cindy (Robert) Bare of Taft, TN, and Debra (Ryan) Christensen of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Richard (Robert King) Milner of Ogden, UT; brothers, Charles Hyde of Lehi, UT, and William Hyde of San Antonio, TX; sister, NanEtte (Rodney) Clark of Las Vegas, NV; eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Sara Hyde; and husband, Reed Harvey McKee.

A Memorial Service will be held from 1:00-3:00 p.m., Saturday, January 29, 2022, at the Hobble Creek 1st Ward located at 555 S. Averett Avenue, Springville, UT 84663, with Bishop Simonsen officiating.
