SUSAN WILSON
GOODING, ID -- Susan Rae Beaty Wilson, 72, passed away September 30, 2008, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, at the home of her daughter. Susan passed on with her children at her side. She was a very sweet lady, friend, and mother. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She was born May 15, 1936, in Clinton, Minnesota, to Ray Beaty and Nellie Nelson Beaty. She grew up and attended schools in the area. Susan never went more than 30 miles from Clinton until she ventured to San Francisco when she was 18 years old. She really enjoyed returning to Clinton for the many class reunions over the years, and will continue to attend in spirit with her sister, Sally and her life-long friend, Erma Leggett.
On November 7, 1959, she married Harold Irbin Wilson in Belmont, California. Together they raised two children: Karen (David) Smith of Idaho Falls, Idaho and Daniel (Tracy) Wilson of Minden, Nevada. After Harold passed away in 2005, Susan decided to keep her summer home in Gooding, where she had very good friends, great sunsets, and many wonderful memories.
Susan worked for Pacific Bell in San Francisco and as the Gooding City Clerk and Treasurer. She lived in Clinton, MN, for 18 years, Santa Clara, CA for 17 years, and Gooding, ID for 37 years.
Susan was a fabulous cook, able to make meals from scratch without recipes . . . “No one could make it like Grannyma.” She loved to sing, dance, and go camping with her family, as well as travel the United States by motor home. She enjoyed winters in Ajo, Arizona, with her sister, Sally, and brother-in-law, Leon.
Survivors include:
Daughter: Karen (David) Smith, Idaho Falls, ID

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harold, brother Freddie, and sisters Ruthie and Olive.
