Susan Sermon

Susan Quinn Sermon, 81, of Ririe, passed away August 3, 2026, at Idaho Falls Community Hospital. She was under the care of her loving family and Aspen Home Health & Hospice.

Sue was born June 23, 1945, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Robert Quinn and Elsie Frey Quinn. She grew up at Heise Hot Springs and graduated from Rigby High School. She was a member of the Heise Swim Team and was a swim instructor.

In 1963, she married Michael Orel Brody. They were blessed with four sons.

In 1993, she married Harold Sermon. They made their home in Ririe. Sue worked as a legal secretary for 40 years.

She was raised a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a Cub Scout leader. Sue enjoyed quilting, ancestry research, puzzles, and crosswords. She loved to travel and some of her favorite vacations spots were Hawaii, Alaska, Brazil, and Belize.

Sue is survived by her sons, Pat (Annabelle) Brody of Salt Lake City, UT, John Brody of Idaho Falls, ID, Dan (Bryn) Brody of Denver, CO, and Clint Sermon of Ririe, ID; 16 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Michael Brody; and second husband, Harold Sermon.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road. The family will visit with friends from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.
