Susan Dowd Sargent

SUSAN SARGENT IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Susan Claire Dowd Sargent, 57, of Idaho Falls, passed away November 14, 2006, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center from a lingering illness, surrounded by her loving family. Susan was born February 13, 1949, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Jess C. Dowd and Beth Norma Howard Dowd (Smith) and she was lovingly raised by her mother and stepfather, Frank, whom she called “Dad.” She attended Emerson Elementary, graduated from Idaho Falls High School and from Vogue Beauty College in Idaho Falls. She was married to Gary Sargent and together they had two wonderful children, Michael and Bridgette. They were later divorced. She owned and operated her own beauty shop in Rigby for many years.. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Susan loved spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed painting figurines, camping, boating and traveling with her family to Mexico. Surviving are: Son: Mike (Adriane) Sargent of Idaho Falls Daughter: Bridgette (Jeff) Stieglitz of Firth, ID Parents: Beth (Frank S.) Smith of Idaho Falls Brother: Kraig (Leigh Ann) Smith of Acworth, GA Brother: Kurt (Amy) Smith of Idaho Falls and 6 grandchildren Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 18, 2006, at Wood East Side Chapel, 963 S. Ammon Road. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to services at Wood East Side.
