SUSAN A. PIERCE
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Susan A. Kimball Pierce, 53, daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, returned home to her Heavenly Father on October 21, 2008, after a short illness. She was surrounded by loved ones at the time of her passing.
Susan was born May 5, 1955, to John and Beverly Kimball in Pasadena, California. She was the fifth of six children. Sue had four children, Matthew, Heather, Britta and Michael Fowler, of whom she was immensely proud. She spent her life giving her children everything that she could and did not let a day go by without telling them of her love. She later married the love of her life, Wayne Douglas Pierce, on April 12, 1986, in Idaho Falls. They were inseparable from that time on.
Susan was the grandmother of five grandchildren, Michaela, Taylor, Jacob, Gage and Hannah. Although Susan was a wonderful mother, her true calling was that of a grandmother. It was a role that she truly shined in. She spent countless hours with her grandchildren and each of them had a special place in her heart. She made each of them feel special and leaves a great legacy of love and laughter to those five children. They will always remember her gifts of joy and a playful nature.
Susan was a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She had a wonderful sense of humor. She was an example to all those around her. She was quick to forgive and was a true example of Christlike love. Susan truly loved life and loved her family.
Susan is survived by her husband, Doug Pierce of Shelley; her four children, Matthew (Indy) Fowler of Idaho Falls, Heather (David) Schwartz of Iona, Britta Fowler of Shelley and Michael (Stacy) Fowler of Williamsburg, VA; her mother, Beverly (Bert) Miller of Ucon; five siblings, Karen Borgenson of FL; Geraldine (Craig) Seaquist of Idaho Falls; Jonni (Lynn) Bradshaw of Portland; Melody (Mark) Cavliery of Omaha, NB and John Kimball of Idaho Falls; 5 grandchildren. Her grandmother, Joan Dill; mother-in-law, Ruth Pierce and father-in-law, Bing Pierce preceded her in death.
The family wishes to express sincere gratitude and appreciation for all the services and love provided by Wood Funeral Home, the Jameston Ward, and the staff at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center that worked so diligently to try and save her life.
Memorial Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 25, 2008, at the Shelley LDS Jameston Ward, 1105 North
1250 East, Shelley. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a memorial fund at any US Bank location under the name of Doug Pierce.

We are so sorry to hear about Sue's passing. She was a kind, strong, protective, powerful soul who put the people she loved before all else.
We truly believe she will continue to do that from her new home, where she is free from the cumbersome existence of physical pain and suffering! She loves you all so very much.
All of you are in our thoughts and prayers and we hope that your heartbreak is softened by the happy memories of your time spent with her.
