Susan Lee Lake

Susan Lee Lake, 64, of Rexburg, passed away August 21, 2025, at her home.

Susan was born July 1, 1961, in Fresno, California, to David Lee Kemp and Joy Lorraine Plaza Kemp. She grew up and attended schools in Rigby and graduated from Rigby High School. She also attended EITC where she earned her Associate Degree in Nursing.

She married Acel Lake in Elko, Nevada. Susan and Acel made their home in Rexburg, Idaho, where Susan worked as a Registered Nurse for the Idaho Falls Clinic.

She enjoyed horseback riding, gardening, swimming, and being outdoors. She especially loved spending time with her family and her many pets.

Susan is survived by her son, David Lake of Rigby, ID; daughter, Carol Hook of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Levi Lake of Idaho Falls, ID; brothers, Shawn Goodwin of Butte, MT and Tony (Bridgett) Worring of Burley, ID; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Acel; daughter, Jennifer Lake; son, Stephen Hook; and brother, Randy Worring.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road. The family will visit with friends from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Annis-Little Butte Cemetery.
