IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Susan Lee Getty, 71, of Idaho Falls, died April 28, 2006, at the home of her daughter, Carrie. She was under the care of Hospice of Eastern Idaho.
She was born December 15, 1934, in Hartford, Connecticut, to Madeline and Philip Lee, III. She grew up and attended schools in Niantic, Connecticut and graduated from W.M.I. in 1952.
She married Edward Getty March 21, 1953, in Niantic, Connecticut. They later divorced. She was a bank manager for Liberty Bank and a mortgage broker for Prime Financial. She also owned and operated her own mortgage brokerage firm. She served on the town of Waterford, Connecticut Water and Sewer Commission for several years and was an active volunteer for Southeastern Connecticut Hospice and the Cerebral Palsy Telethon.
Shew as a devoted mother and friend and enjoyed travel, concerts and night life.

Daughters: Carrie Getty, Idaho Falls, ID;
Kim Getty, Ashland, NH,
and Jennifer (Elias Bhutt) Getty, El Cerrito, CA;
Son: Jeff Getty, Joshua Tree, CA;
1 grandson: Sam Getty.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Philip Lee, IV.
A Memorial Reception will be held in Niantic, Connecticut Wednesday, May 3, 2006.
