Susan Buckley

Susan Kay Hackett Buckley passed away peacefully September 30, 2015 in Ammon, Idaho after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born September 11, 1953 to Stan and Arlene Hackett in Young America, Minnesota. She was the 3rd of four children and the only girl growing up with three brothers, Steve, Dean and David. She attended schools in Minnesota and graduated in 1972 from Charles H. Lindberg Hopkins High School, in Minnetonka, Minnesota. She worked for the Target Corporation for 27 years in various positions. Susan was the proud parent of Jennifer Marie Fox and was so pleased to welcome Ray Fox into the family when Jennifer and Ray were married last April. She also dearly loved her grandchildren, Preston, Dane, Tanner, Terrance, Rachel, Spencer, Natasha and Matt. She also cherished her great-grandchildren Braxton and Ashton. She loved to take them swimming at Lava Hot Springs and was always making special treats for them. She also loved her cats. She had many over the years but will especially miss Theodore and Felix who were her faithful and adoring companions. Susan was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served diligently in the Ammon 17th Ward. She loved to shop, travel, and spend time with her family and was an avid fan of all of the Minnesota sports teams. Some of her fondest memories were of spending weekends at the Hackett family cabin at Big Pine Lake near Garrison, Minnesota. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 8, 2015, at Wood East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road. The family will visit with friends one hour prior to the services. Interment will be in the Ammon Cemetery, 5226 East Sunnyside Road, Ammon, Idaho. “Grandma Sue” we love you and will miss you!
