Susan Marie “Sue” Prebble, 65, of Iona, passed away March 29, 2022, at her home.
Sue was born March 6, 1957, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Murry Irving Byington and Audrey Mary Wheeler Byington. She grew up and attended schools in Ririe, Idaho, played basketball, volleyball, and enjoyed working on the family farm. She graduated from Ririe High School in 1975 and then attended Idaho State University. Sue and her high school sweetheart, Clair J Manwill, enjoyed participating in the “Drag on 1st Street.”
In July of 1975, she and Clair were married and they had Camille and Zachary. Zachary passed away tragically in April 1982 from a drowning accident in Ririe. Clair and Sue were then blessed with Maria and Kenny. The family loved boat racing, water skiing, and playing darts. Sue and Clair were divorced in 1991.
In 1994, Sue moved to Winnemucca, Nevada, and worked in the mines and road construction. She loved bartending, mainly at Mike’s Mineshaft where she met the love of her life, Ray. They were married on June 26, 1999, and lived in Winnemucca. They made many memories and lasting friendships. They loved to entertain friends and had epic BBQs with Ray’s band playing. They enjoyed camping and boating on Rye Patch Reservoir. She moved back to Idaho Falls to be closer to her family after Ray’s passing in 2014.
Sue loved horseback riding, motor bike riding, and participating in boat racing. She also enjoyed reading, drawing, and was a very talented artist her whole life. She was always a night owl.
Sue is survived by her loving daughters, Camille Marie Manwill of Idaho Falls, Maria (Todd) Barrie of Idaho Falls; son, Kenny J. Manwill of Idaho Falls; sister, Benita (Bob) Ryne of Las Vegas, NV; brothers, Alan (Toni) Byington of Wilmington, OH, David (Erika) Byington of Idaho Falls, Byron Byington of Idaho Falls; and three grandchildren.
