STEVEN MURDOCK ST. GEORGE, UT -- Steven Geary Murdock, 54, of St. George, Utah, died May 25, 2007, in St. George of injuries from an accident at work. He was born February 8, 1953, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Geary Jack Murdock and Shirley Ann Bates Murdock. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. He married Holly Ann Tawzer in Idaho Falls, and they would have celebrated their 25th anniversary on December 1, 2007. He worked as a concrete finisher in construction work, and previously as a security inspector at the INL. A lifelong resident of Idaho Falls, he moved to St. George five months ago to work. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various callings, including the Special Needs Adult Primary. He was an active committee member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. He was an avid bow hunter, enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and was actively involved in the area pool league and tournaments. Survivors include: Wife: Holly Murdock of St. George, UT Son: Lance Murdock of Idaho Falls, ID Son: Stacey (Melinda) Murdock of Beaverton, OR Son: Kelly (Lori) Murdock of Idaho Falls, ID Mother: Shirley Murdock of Idaho Falls, ID Brother: Alan (Lisa) Murdock of Victor, ID 8 Grandchildren He was preceded in death by his father and his grandparents. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 2, 2007, at the Idaho Falls LDS 31st Ward, 1165 Azalea, with Bishop Richard Stewart officiating. The family will visit with friends Friday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge, and Saturday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the church.
