Steven G. Long - 08/28/2001 Steven G. Long - 08/28/2001 STEVEN G. LONG IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Steven Grant Long, 49, of Challis, formerly of Iona, died August 27, 2001, near Basin, Montana of natural causes. He was born October 26, 1951, at Ashton, to Clifford V. Long and Evadean Forsgren Long. He grew up and attended schools in Iona and graduated from Bonneville High School. He also attended Idaho State University and Ricks College. He married Janice Andrews August 6, 1971, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They made their home in Idaho Falls, where he worked for Wonder Distributors and P.I.E. They moved to Challis 20 years ago, where he worked for Teton Crane & Transport and owned Sawtooth Pacific, Inc. He has been employed by Envirocon as a mechanic since 1995. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he served in the Elders Quorum Presidency, Sunday School Presidency, and was a Sunday School teacher. He also served on the Challis School Board. He enjoyed working with horses, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter, Caelyn Rose Long, who was the light of his life. Funeral Services will be at 12:30 p.m Thursday, August 30, 2001, at the Challis LDS Ward, with Bishop Gary Rogers officiating. The family will visit with friends on Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home and from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Thursday at the LDS church in Challis.
